High Commissioner's Message

        Welcome to the official website of the Bangladesh High Commission in Brunei Darussalam! We are delighted to have you here. Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam share a long-standing relationship based on mutual respect, friendship, and shared values. Our Honorable Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, and His Majesty the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah highly value the bond between our two nations and are committed to further strengthening it.

        The State Visit of His Majesty to Bangladesh in October 2022 marked a significant milestone in our bilateral relations, infusing new energy and dynamism into our partnership. Similarly, the visit of our Honorable Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, to Brunei in April 2019, the visit of the Hon'ble State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP to Brunei in November 2022, and the participation of the Bangladesh delegation led by the Respected Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary), Ambassador Masud Bin Momen in the Second Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) held on 31 August 2022, all reflect the progress and strength of our bilateral relations.

           Bangladesh is proud to have a significant number of expatriates in Brunei who are contributing positively to the country's progress. We are also fortunate to have dedicated professionals in the health and education sectors, and we are proud of their commendable work for Brunei Darussalam.

        Our High Commission is committed to engaging with the host society and collaborating with local eminent personalities and organizations to promote gender parity, inclusivity, literacy, climate change, sustainable living, and fine arts. We are dedicated to working together for the benefit of future generations.
